Online, November 17, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Web Adaptive will begin offering an annual $1000 college scholarship grant for LGBTQ individuals. The scholarship application will be open to any LGBTQ undergraduate students in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics [STEM] who are U. S. citizens with a minimum GPA of 2.5 or greater. The application period will close March 31, 2016, with the amount being awarded on April 15, 2016.
Members of this community are often under-represented in the STEM fields, especially computer science. As an LGBTQ-owned organization, it is goal of Web Adaptive to help correct that problem, and to encourage all members of society to learn basic programming.
